Carroll created and Directed the Center for Voice and Swallowing at Tufts Medical Center in Boston where he implemented a multidisciplinary voice care model, equally incorporating Speech language Pathologists and Laryngologists into every new patient visit. Prior to joining Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Dr. He completed a fellowship in laryngology and care of the professional voice at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Voice Center in 2008. Carroll received his medical degree from Wright State University School of Medicine and completed a residency in otolaryngology at the University of Colorado Denver and Health Sciences Center. He is recognized nationally and internationally for his research and advancements in the understanding and treatment of chronic cough and the overlapping presenting symptoms of laryngopharyngeal reflux and glottic insufficiency from subtle vocal fold changes.ĭr. He is a board certified Otolaryngologist and an Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Harvard Medical School.
